Over the course of the year unique clay workshops will be offered to help build your skills in clay and insprire new ways of working.
Do one, do 5, do them all or do them twice! All workshops can be done separately though surface design depends on work from previous workshops. 265 nis per workshop, 1420 nis for 6 workshops.

SUMMER 2016
Black, White & Color All Over 1
Wednesday - July 6, 2016
4-7 pm
Using raw process we will create forms of a more organic nature out of black clay. Second session we will paint and draw boldly with colored slips creating refreshing and painterly pieces.
No experience needed. No preparatory work required.
Black, White & Color All Over 2
Wednesday - July 13, 2016
4-7 pm
Starting on paper, we will play with color and design learning to apply layer over layer and then working directly onto our clay vessles made from session 1 using brushes, stamps and drawing tools.
No experience needed. Work from previous session required.
Textures & Treatments 1
Wednesday - July 20, 2016
4-7 pm
Using the idea of the Tryptich (3 works), we will create playful platters or vessles with texture of both impressing and carving which will be then glazed in the following workshop.
No experience needed. No preparatory work required.
Textures & Treatments 2
Wednesday - July 27, 2016
4-7 pm
Taking the work made in the previous workshop, we will use underglazes, stains and glazing to create richly treated clay designs.
No experience needed. Work from previous session required.
Neriage - Colored Clay Design 1
Wednesday - August 3, 2016
4-7 pm
Using colored porcelian we will create unique designs using the Neriage or Nerkomi techinques. First of 2 sessions will be making the colored clay and preparing the Neriage.
No experience needed. No preparatory work required. Supplies: medium flat bottom plastic container with lid.

Wednesday - August 12, 2016

Taking the neriage blocks made in session 1, students will use the Neriage to create intricately designed forms.
No experience needed. Work from first session needed.
